The milling spindle unit can be indexed in 5° increments within a range of -30° to 190°, allowing for outer diameter machining, face machining, and angled machining with a single tool. This eliminates the need for tool changes, thus shortening machining cycle times. A 1° indexing specification is also available as an option.
This milling spindle possesses strong cutting capabilities comparable to those of a small machining center, enabling high-efficiency production.
Considering the mechanical design of the interference region
The tailstock has a certain range of movement for clearance, so it will not interfere with the milling spindle. The same applies to the second spindle. Because setup and preparation can be done without interference, work efficiency is improved.
The milling spindle turret (B-axis) is clamped by a high-precision indexing Hirth coupling to achieve the same high indexing accuracy as a turret-type turning center.
